Meet the Team – Rwanda

Helen Harrison

Founder and Lead Trainer (UK)

Helen has been working in the international development arena for almost two decades now and has built up a strong network of friends and colleagues across many countries and continents who are all as passionate as her about social justice, community-based initiatives, and enabling others to live out their God-given potential. It is this passion and these friends who have been the driving force and encouragement behind the development of the 360 Life programme.

As an extension of her work with 360 Life, Helen is now undertaking a PhD in the area of culturally contextual wellbeing, and she also volunteers as Partner Liaison Manager for CRED Foundation.

Helen is married to Tim and they have grown-up twin daughters.

One key ministry objective is to develop nationally-based ‘360 Life’ authorised trainers who are self-determined, self-directed, and self-sustaining. If you would like to know more about this, please contact .

Bolis Ishimwe

Rwanda

I am called Bolis ISHIMWE, I serve at Good News Of Peace and Development for Rwanda as a prison chaplain. I attended 360 Life training when I was starting my new responsibility as a chaplain and I praise God for that opportunity. The training was very useful not only in pursuing my responsibility as chaplain but also in a way I can relate with my wife and other people and respect their uniqueness. The training helped me to know how I can relate with people, especially inmates, and how I can interpret their behaviour and actions so I can respond to each one’s level of mental health. I came to understand the functionality of the brain and the impact of each part on one’s life and behaviour. Everyone is God’s creature and has to be respected for his/her uniqueness.

Now I know how to respond, understand, and listen to different people and react accordingly. 360 life training is essential to everyone so that they can explore more about themselves and be able to relate with other people despite their mental health problems.

I thank God for the opportunity and the 360 live instructor for her time and input in my life.

Steven Bangirana

Rwanda

Steven Bangirana lives and works in Kigali, Rwanda. He is married with two sons and is a church pastor and a schoolteacher. He also serves as a counsellor in his church. He has qualifications in theology, mentoring and teaching.

Since qualifying as a 360Life trainer, Stephen has been using it a lot in the school where he works, both to improve his teaching skills, and also to help the students with their learning skills. He also finds the materials very useful with regard to being a church leader and counsellor as he has much better insight into the background behind mental health and behavioural challenges that he sees in some of those who ask for his help.

Yvan Muyebe

Rwanda

Yvan is a young Rwandan and Christian leader with polished communication, presentation, and savvy negotiation skills.

Through 360 Life training, I learned and understood the functioning human brain, and processes towards trauma healing. I managed to go deep into myself and discovered reasons of most battles I was going through; I thank God for his healing power.
Serving at Good News Global as Prison Chaplain could have been a great challenge if I had not attended the 360 Life training. Since then, bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ, discipling, and dealing with incarcerated people have become easy because I can relate to their consecutive situations, understand their uniqueness, smarts and preferences.

I would therefore recommend this training to everyone whose life is believed to have a positive impact on others.
